Who we are
Cartwren is built and operated by SMS Dev Co (Syed Maaz Saif), based in Islamabad, Pakistan. You can contact us at support@syedmaazsaif.com.
What data the app collects
- Account: when you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, profile photo and Google account ID, used to identify you and show your name and photo to your household members.
- Shopping data: lists, items, prices, categories, budgets, bought status and purchase dates that you or your household members enter.
- Device data (optional): if you allow notifications, a push token is stored so we can send you updates. You can decline without losing features.
How we use it
- To run the shared grocery lists and budgets for your household.
- To send you the notifications you opted into.
- To keep your data synced when you change phones.
Who can see it
Only you and the members of your household (up to 3 people) can see your household's lists and data.
We use third-party services to operate the app:
- Supabase — database and authentication, hosted in Singapore.
- Google Sign-In — account sign-in.
- RevenueCat — subscription management.
- Google Play Billing — payments. We never see or store your card details.
- Expo push notifications — delivering the notifications you opt into.
These providers process data only as needed to run the service.
Where data is stored
Your shopping data is stored on Supabase's servers, hosted in Singapore. Your sign-in is handled by Google, and your subscription and payment details are held by Google (Google Play) and RevenueCat.
How long we keep it
Your data is kept while you use the app. If you delete your account, your personal data is removed as described on our Delete your account page.
Your choices
- You can decline notifications at any time in your device settings.
- You can delete your account and data at any time — see our Delete your account page.
Children
The app is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update the date above and, where required, notify you.
